Route overview
Start near the grassy area by Rady’s Shell amphitheater. From there, walk north along the paved harbor path. Along the way, kids can watch oversized yachts and boats, keeping the walk interesting from start to finish.
The route passes major waterfront landmarks, including the USS Midway aircraft carrier and the Star of India, the world’s oldest active sailing ship.
Continue through Seaport Village, where families can stop for a carousel ride, snacks, or a restroom break. You can also stop at the snack bar at Broadway Landing, where cruise ships are sometimes docked.
Continue north to Waterfront Park.
Important parking tip
Always check for events at Rady’s Shell before heading out. During events, parking lots may be closed, making parking much more difficult.
