Route overview
Start at De Anza Cove Park, where there is plenty of parking. From there, follow the sidewalk along the inner side of Mission Bay. Along the way, families can stop at the newly renovated playgrounds spaced roughly every quarter mile.
There are four playgrounds total, each with interesting features for kids of different ages. The walk wraps around Fiesta Island, and it is common to see jet skiers out on the water, which adds extra excitement for kids.
The route finishes at the boat dock at South Shores Park, where there is also a restroom.
